Hello, I’m Sophia! Growing up, I knew I wanted to do anything that utilized my creativity and imagination. I was an actor for nine years which led me to start a broadcasting class in high school. This exposure made me want to pursue journalism in my higher education.

I started at Virginia Tech in 2017 as a multimedia journalism major with a minor in cinema. Although I found reporting in the field and writing stories interesting, I quickly discovered my passion for film. During my junior year in 2019, I changed my major to cinema and have been able to explore a new side of visual storytelling.

I’ve had the opportunity to try my hand in many different roles. From journalist, director, editor, actor, and videographer, I’m still learning my strengths and love any chance to add something new to the list.
